HL7 Reference Lab InterfacesRBG provides HL7 interfaces for both orders and results to all Reference Labs. These modules are available as add-ons to the Apex LIS or as stand-alone modules with or without an EHR interface. Interfaces are available to both national and regional reference labs, as well as local reference labs and hospitals. The interface fee is often paid by the reference lab. Adding a reference lab interface to your Apex LIS allows you to manage all tests ordered by providers through a single integrated lab order management environment. This simplifies both training of staff and tracking of results status. Consolidating all reference labs through RBG may also reduce the number of computers and printers required in support of reference labs. When RBG is responsible for managing all labs your annual support costs are reduced since most EHR vendors will charge a separate annual support fee for each supported lab.
